Self-eSTEM is seeking volunteers to serve as a camp mentor to help guide and encourage our Innovators through the camp project-based activity activities, and help create a dynamic & fun atmosphere that fosters learning and growth.

About the Camp 🏫🔬
The Self-eSTEM STEM Exploration Camp is a unique opportunity for young BIPOC girls and women to immerse themselves in the world of STEM through hands-on activities, inspiring field trips, and engaging workshops. This camp provides a supportive and empowering environment where participants can explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Camp Description Details ⛺
Our camp participants will embark on a groundbreaking journey to address the challenges of biohazards and contagious viruses within their communities. They will use engineering and design principles to leverage their STEM skills and devise innovative strategies to address these challenges, focusing on transportation and social activities. Collaborating with UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, and our participants will reimagine and reconstruct their communities. Key focus areas:
Throughout the camp, our Innovators will develop 21st-century skills and present their innovative solutions to peers and community partners, celebrating their achievements in Virtual Reality. Contribute to the academic and personal growth within the city planning, transportation, and STEM ecosystem for our Innovators. Special knowledge in these fields are not required.
