We’re thrilled to share that Adamaka Ajaelo, Founder and Executive Director of Self-eSTEM, received a Prestigious Alumni Award from Holy Names University on October 9, 2020. This honor celebrates her visionary leadership and impact in breaking down barriers for girls in STEM.
Adamaka founded Self-eSTEM with a clear mission: to ignite confidence, curiosity, and career pathways for girls from untapped communities through hands-on STEM education, mentorship, and leadership development. Since its founding, the organization has empowered hundreds of girls to explore their potential in science, technology, engineering, and math.
The award not only recognizes Adamaka’s individual accomplishments, but also uplifts the broader mission of Self-eSTEM—to close opportunity gaps and build a more inclusive STEM future. Her work is proof that investing in underrepresented youth has a ripple effect that transforms communities.
