Adamaka Ajaelo at SF AI Tech Week: Practical AI for the Organizations That Need It Most

Adamaka Ajaelo approaches AI the same way she approaches every complex system: identify the pattern, model the system, design a solution. That’s what she brought to SF AI Tech Week when the San Francisco Department of Technology invited her to lead a practical AI workshop for small businesses and community organizations at the San Francisco Public Library on December 15, 2025.

The audience was the people already leading The Bay Area’s nonprofit and small business communities, there to get practical about a technology that’s moving whether they’re ready or not.

She and her fellow speakers: Justin Steele, Darian Rodriguez Heyman, Delphine Jacquin, and Luis Angel Quiroz, covered four areas where small organizations can act now:

• Practical AI workflows organizations can implement today
• Responsible adoption grounded in equity, language access, and privacy
• Tools that reduce administrative burden and free up creative capacity
• Real insights from leaders actively using AI in their work

No theory. No enterprise budget required. Just tools and the frameworks to use them.

The SF Department of Technology brought Self-eSTEM into this conversation because the work is credible. That matters, and so does what it signals for Bay Area organizations watching.

As Adamaka put it: “The future of work isn’t something we wait for. It’s something we design.”
