Thursday, October 1st, 2026, Self-eSTEM heads to Oakland Tech Week for an evening built for founders, operators and builders ready to put AI to work. Hosted at 469 9th Street Suite 100B in Oakland, this interactive session unpacks how entrepreneurs are using AI across finance, marketing and operations, and helps participants walk away with real tools they can use.
The session is built around two things: AI Literacy, understanding what tools exist and what they can actually do, and AI Judgment, knowing when, why and how to use them in real business situations. Participants will hear directly from real operators about how they are putting AI to work, see live tool walkthroughs from founders and business leaders, and get a look at how Self-eSTEM itself is using AI inside its own nonprofit operations.
The evening also includes a guided working segment where attendees identify one or two AI use cases for their own business, plus time for peer exchange and a guided working session with other entrepreneurs in the room.
By the end of the night, participants leave with more than notes: a defined (or nearly implementable) AI use case, sharper confidence moving from manual work to scalable systems and new connections with founders and innovators building the future of work right alongside them.
