Apply Now for the 2026 Early STEM Immersion Program!

Self-eSTEM is excited to open enrollment for the 2026 Early STEM Immersion Program, a year-round STEM learning experience for girls ages 7–17. No prior STEM experience is required.

About the Early STEM Immersion Program

Accepted participants will be enrolled in a year-round series of STEM learning opportunities, including workshops, community events, leadership activities, and more.
The STEM Exploration Camp is the first program event for new 2026 applicants.

Please note: we are launching mandatory group interviews that will take place in mid–late February or early March 2026 for new participants. These interviews help students get comfortable with staff and returning alumni facilitators, and gauge interest and commitment in participating in our programming. This is required for Self-eSTEM to sustain and scale our programs. Interviews are not used to assess aptitude.

New Families

• New applicants must submit a full application to join the 2026 cohort.
  
• The Early STEM Immersion Program includes workshops, STEM challenges, leadership activities, and community events throughout the year.

Mandatory In-Person Interview:

• • Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026
  • Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM *(You will be assigned a slot)
    • Timeslot 1: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Introduction, Interviews and Questions)
    • Timeslot 2: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Introduction, Interviews and Questions)
    • Timeslot 3: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (Introduction, Interviews and Questions)
  • Location: 469 9th Street, Suite 100B, Oakland, CA

• Video directions to the classroom and parking lot on 8th & Washington

• Food: Food and beverages provided. 

The purpose of this is to meet our Self-eSTEM team, connect with participants and families, and to answer any questions.

📌Action Required: Please look for a Google Calendar invite in your inbox following this email. You must accept the invite to confirm your interview slot. This interview is a required component in the application process to determine program acceptance.

📌Important Note: If you need an adjustment of the timeslot, you must email us a request at [email protected] in writing by Friday, March 6, 2026. We will do our best to adjust. We cannot guarantee any accommodations after this date, especially the day of the event.

Returning Families

• Returning participants must verify their information to secure placement for 2026.
  
• Please check for an email from [email protected] and complete the required steps. 
• Email subject contains: “2026 Early STEM Immersion Program”.

Important Deadline

All applications and returning family verifications are due:
Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 9:00 PM PST
(No late submissions will be accepted.)

Application status notifications will be sent by Friday, February 6, 2026.
