In July 2025, F5 announced its newest cohort of nonprofit partners selected to receive STEM Education and AI Grants; Self-eSTEM is proud to be among the ten organizations recognized for their transformative work. This prestigious partnership underscores Self-eSTEM’s commitment to empowering girls and women to explore, lead, and innovate in science, technology, engineering, and math.
“There’s long been a ‘leaky STEM pipeline’ that drains girls and women from STEM fields, as well as a racial gap,” F5 noted in the announcement. Self-eSTEM directly addresses that gap through culturally responsive programming, from AI courses and robotics competitions to leadership development and workforce training.
Founded by Adamaka Ajaelo, Self-eSTEM has reached hundreds of girls and young women through summer camps, mentorship, and real-world STEM experiences. This grant will expand access to high-impact programming and accelerate Self-eSTEM’s vision of creating inclusive spaces where future STEM leaders thrive.
With support from F5, Self-eSTEM will continue to break down barriers, open career pathways, and cultivate the next generation of innovators.
